Dennis Adams - Choir Director |
Dennis is a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church, following his grandparents and parents in membership and service. He assumed the duties of choir director over 40 years ago with his extensive knowledge of music (4 years of piano lessons) and the need for someone to step in after the previous director left to pursue his career in music. He has grown and continues to grow in knowledge and service with experience and the support of many dedicated and talented choir members.
Dennis and his wife Debbie have two children, Aprile and Alan, and 4 grandchildren, Abigail, Lakin, Averi, and Amos, all of whom are members of Zion. Besides music he enjoys whitewater rafting, ballroom dance, golf, cruising, and fishing. |
Jennifer Coats - Organist |
Jennifer Coats is a life-long member of Zion United Methodist Church and has been a part of the music ministry since her teenage years. She assumed the duties of Organist/Choir Pianist when the former musician left for another opportunity. She has a very rare and unique opportunity of working each Sunday with her brother, Dennis Adams, who is the Choir Director.
Jennifer is married to Wayne Coats. Their family includes their children, Jenilyn Mulkey and Adam Coats; their children by marriage, Matthew Mulkey and Kaileigh Coats; and their precious grandchildren, Grayson, Brayden, Ansley and Charlie. Jennifer enjoys her music, her art classes, and spending time with her family. |
Alan Adams - Youth Minister |
Alan Adams has worked with the Youth at Zion for 10 years and has been a member at Zion United Methodist his entire life. He is from Anderson and graduated from Clemson University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently the Resident Construction Engineer for the SCDOT in Oconee County, and recently became a licensed professional engineer.
Alan is married to Merebeth Adams, who is a special education resource teacher at Wren Middle School. They have twin girls Lakin and Averi who are 4 years old. They also have a loving dog Colby who falls short in the behavior department, and a cat Rally who falls short in most every department. Alan enjoys anything that has to do with Clemson sports, being a youth leader, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends. |
